One of the many reasons people don't recycle is because they don't know how to! In this lesson, we want to help you learn the rules of recycling so you don't have an excuse not to. 

We will teach you:

  • commonly used items and the type of material they are classified as 
  • The 7 different types of plastic and why they are all different 
  • Proper places to dispose of materials/ waste 
  • Resources to help mold recycling into your daily routine

Running a Sustainable Kitchen

One place we produce the most waste is in our kitchens. Whether it's through food waste, dishwashing, food containers, or more, we are here to tell you ways that you can reduce the waste produced in your kitchen. 

We will teach you:

  • Ways to save water washing dishes 
  • Labeling food correctly to prevent spoiling large amounts of food 
  • Alternative food disposal (compost)
  • Shopping and looking for better/ less wasteful packages
